Bollywood star Manisha Koirala, who is presently starring in Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has shared candidly about her experience filming the film following her cancer recovery. Manisha claimed that because of her busy schedule, she had misgivings right before she started filming. She recalled persevering through the 12-hour ordeal of being submerged in murky water. According to Manisha, Heeramandi has marked a noteworthy turning point in her life. The performer expressed her excitement at not being limited to little parts.

Manisha Koirala posted on social media, saying, "I could never have imagined that my life would flower into this other phase after turning 50 and overcoming cancer." Even with all of the praise I am getting now, I can't help but go back to the uncertainties and nervousness I had right before I started filming. The performer disclosed her doubts about her body's ability to withstand the rigorous shooting schedule, bulky clothes, and elaborate jewellery.

"The fountain sequence proved the most physically challenging," she noted, giving an example. I had to spend more than twelve hours submerged in a water fountain. The water was warm and clean, but over the course of the hours, Sanjay made sure it became filthy. The dirty water seeped into every crevice of my body. By the time the session was over, I was so exhausted, but I was also quite happy. Manisha added that her body maintained its resilience in the face of stress.
