Hema Malini Speaks About Her Relationship With Sunny And Bobby Deol, Dharmendra's Sons

Hema Malini's relationship with her stepsons Sunny and Bobby Deol has been characterised as "cordial." Dharmendra married Hema in 1980, after already having four children: Sunny and Bobby Deol, as well as Vijeta and Ajeita Deol.

Hema had mentioned an incident involving Sunny during the launch of her biography a few years ago.

Hema said to the press: "Everyone is curious as to what kind of relationship we have.  It's very lovely and friendly. He is always there, along with Dharamji, whenever it is needed, particularly when this accident happened. He was the first person to visit me at home, and he made sure that the correct doctor was present for the facial stitches (and removal of the stitches). I was surprised to see him taking such an interest in me. That demonstrates the nature of our relationship.”

After dating for several years, Hema and Dharmendra married. Her father had been adamantly opposed to the match from the start.

Hema had previously mentioned that she did not get much time with Dharmendra following their marriage. “I don't think I want to change anything,” she told Spotboye. "Since my marriage, I haven't had enough time with Dharam ji. It's fine, though. We should cherish every moment we have together. I really try not to complain. Why didn't you do this or that? What's the matter with you? the I don't waste my time listening to my family grumble.”

Though his families live in Mumbai, Dharmendra spends the majority of his time at his farmhouse near Mumbai.
