The director of Jab Harry Met Sejal, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, recently discussed the film's failure. Some of the greatest films have been given to viewers by director and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, including Rockstar, Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Chamkila, and many more. 

 

The Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma film Jab Harry Met Sejal, however, fell short of the fans' expectations. The director recently discussed the film's box office disappointment and acknowledged that he took some creative chances.

Imtiaz Ali talked about Shah Rukh Khan's biggest failure, Jab Harry Met Sejal, in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia. When asked to commemorate the film's third anniversary, the director recapped the event. Imtiaz remarked, "I was reminded that, despite its box office failure, it's still your film. I was therefore in great pain. It resembles an unfortunate youngster." According to Ali, "I had a strong sense of ownership over the movie, like I own you, I'm not ashamed of you, just like any other movie I've made." I didn't experience the unusual ache or depression I was feeling at the time.”

 

"I could sense people's disappointment from their expressions back then," Ali continued. I spent a month in bed due to dengue." Imtiaz Ali pointed out that he "processed the pain over time" and underlined the importance of not allowing setbacks to derail one. "You must let go of it... Even with all of my shortcomings, I count myself fortunate. Jab Harry Met Sejal didn't work, but that didn't stop me from feeling like good was happening. It doesn't bother me at all. Success and failure aren't things you should worry about too much," he stated.

On taking a chance for Jab Harry Met Sejal, Imtiaz Ali—who has a devoted fan base—explained that he wanted to break out from his own mold and try something new. He pointed out that the movie wasn't trying to be philosophically deep, in contrast to many of his earlier works.
