Is Samay Raina Dating Medha Shankar?

Nothing is more exciting than gossip about celebs dating. If the Bollywood grapevine is to be believed, standup comic Samay Raina & one film old outsider actress Medha Shankar are dating. While it is not exactly known when they started dating, they seem to be going steady. As per sources, they have been together for at least 4-5 months. Both are Kashmiris & Samay had stated in one of his interviews that he would want to end up with a Kashmiri Pandit. Although it is very early to talk about a wedding, thier Kashmiri lineage is likely to be a factor which drew them to each other.

28 year old Samay Raina rose to national fame after winning Amazon's reality show - Comicstaan Season 2. What followed was a few years of struggle owing to the pandemic when standup weren't happening. He became the biggest name in the comedy circuit after the super success of his reality-comedy talent show India's Got Latent. The show which streamed on YouTube garnered millions of views & was an immediate success. Samay's sense of humor coupled with the show's format were cited to be the major reasons. The show had it's share of detractors who were middle aged uncles who felt uneasy with the risque jokes cracked on the show. Ranveer Allahabadia's inappropriate comment was the final nail in the coffin, which led to an abrupt end to the show. Samay was forced to delete all the show's content on YouTube. He stayed lowkey for a while before making appearances on the standup circuit.

Medha Shankar gained fame for starring in the critically acclaimed Bollywood box office hit - 12th Fail. She was a fresh face, who showed the movie going audiences that she could act. She has signed a few movies post the release of 12th Fail. Her first release post 12th Fail will be Ginny Weds Sunny 2.
