When she was little, Janhvi Kapoor talked about having paranoia and confessing to breaking into her parents' room to see if Boney and Sridevi Kapoor were still alive.
The actress Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor's daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who died in 2018, revealed that she is still processing her mother's death. She also discussed her paranoia, acknowledging that she had secretly slipped into her parents' bed at night to make sure they were still breathing.
Janhvi Kapoor talks about her fear of losing her parents.
Janhvi Kapoor admitted, "Even at that age, I was always paranoid about losing my parents," during a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast. Each time they would travel for a day without me or go out late for an event."
In more detail, she said, "Even little things, like when kids shop duty-free and I board the plane with my nanny, I'm constantly worried that they won't board the flight and won't return home. Sometimes at night, when I would wake up, I would walk into their room to make sure they were breathing. A peculiar paranoia prevailed."
Janhvi Kapoor said that her parental instincts have become stronger as she has grown older. She expressed her admiration for the Indian custom of providing care for elderly parents. "They become our kids after a certain age," she remarked. Because I understand that it is my time to be there for my father, I know that I will give him a lot more leeway and may not be there emotionally for me in the way that I thought a father should."
We're too harsh on our parents, in my opinion. No one has it right; everyone has messed up because of their parents. However, their parents are equally to blame for their mental state. You have to be forgiving of both yourself and others because nobody has ever followed a manual. Simply be there for them and show them love, she said.
