In the final weekend of June, Kalki had a huge opening day debut, earning over Rs. 100 crore. The film then had a fantastic run through July and into the early part of August. The movie did extremely well everywhere, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, which have historically had poor box office performance for Prabhas films. The Hindi belt, Karnataka, and Nizam gave the top performances in the movie. It became the second-highest grosser in Nizam history, only surpassed by RRR.

The movie had a fantastic run abroad as well, ranking as the second highest-grossing Telugu movie outside of Japan. It surpassed Baahubali 2 to become the second-highest grossing Indian movie in the US. Another highlight was Canada, where it went on to become the highest-grossing Tollywood movie.
