Abhishek Sharma, a well-known cricketer who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has come under fire since the death of Tania Singh, his ex-girlfriend, a model who died by suicide in February 2024. His name has also been brought up in the investigation by the Surat police regarding the death of the model aged 28 years old.

Living in Abids, Hyderabad, was Tania, a fashion design, and modelling student originally from Surat, Gujarat. As per police investigations, the last person she called or texted was Abhishek Sharma, making him the last person she spoke to before her demise. It is alleged that Tania messaged Abhishek a short time ahead of the incident, however, he did not reply. Sadly, Tania’s body was discovered within her rental flat and no sign of any suicide note was present.

The two were said to have been in a relationship which ended about six to seven months prior to the events in question. Although Tania kept on calling and messaging Sharma, he is said to have done otherwise. Abhishek Sharma hails from Punjab’s Amritsar city, and being a Punjabi, he has been inclined to cricket since childhood because of his family background.

Is Abhishek Sharma Dating Diya Mehta?

Abhishek Sharma has been in the news lately because of his unusual cricketing abilities. However, in addition, inquiries concerning his personal life have started making up more than idle conjecture. It is being assumed that he is in a romantic relationship with Diya Mehta, who finished as the second runner-up at Miss Rajasthan 2019.

The talk started doing rounds after a Sunrisers Hyderabad photoshoot where Diya, who is a model and a fashion stylist, was clicked with Abhishek Sharma in one of the frames. Diya, on the other hand, added that post saying

Though no formal announcement has been made about the relationship status of Abhishek and Diya, the Indian cricketer does seem to be the kind of person who wishes to keep his personal matters away from the sight of the public.
