Krystle D’Souza To Play A Marathi Cop In An Anthology Feature Jaageer

Krystle D’Souza, who made a big name for herself on Indian television with shows like Kahe Na Kahe, Kya Dill Mein Hai, Kasturi among others is also trying her luck on silver screen. She marked her big screen debut with C Kkompany in 2008 where she plays herself in a cameo. Later, she was seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in Chehre in 2021.
Chehre neither received critical acclaim nor love from the audiences in theatres. Krystle was last seen in director Kookie Gulati’s Visfot playing Fardeen Khan’s love interest. The film was released digitally.
It is a known fact that Ekta Kapoor has been mentoring her for long like several others and even tried giving her roles in her production ventures C Kkompany and ALT Balaji web series Fittrat. Although, Krystle couldn’t take off well. It is now been learnt that the actress is currently working on an anthology series with actor Sehban Azim.
A close source to the project reveals, “Krystle has recently wrapped up the shoot in Pune for Youngistaan and Laal Rang fame director Syed Ahmad Afzal. It is an anthology that has three stories in total. Krystle will be sharing the screen with Sehban Azim. The story is said to be based at the Marathi backdrop, where the actress will be seen playing a cop.”
“Krystle has said yes to the project since she feels that the subject enables her to change her glamorous image on-screen and has a lot of scope and potential in itself. The film also features late Laxmikant Berde’s son Abhinay Berde,” the source further tells.
Syed Ahmad Afzal has last directed a web show Shiksha Mandal in 2022 with Gauahar Khan, Gulshan Devaiah and Pawan Malhotra in the lead roles. The show received mixed reviews that is based on a medical entrance exam scam in India.
It would be interesting to see whether Krystle will pass with flying colours or no.
