Madhuri Left Bollywood At The Height Of Her Career To Marry A Doctor Picked By Her Brother

Madhuri Dixit, the nation's dhak dhak, broke many hearts when she declared her marriage to Dr. Nene. At the time of her marriage, the talented actress was the reigning Queen of Bollywood, which is why everyone was taken aback by the sudden announcement.

Since the stunning actress prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight, little is known about her marriage to Dr Sriram Nene, a suave and handsome cardiothoracic surgeon. However, there is one point to which everyone agrees: they make an extremely happy and beautiful couple.

Every time they appear together, it's a visual feast for the eyes. This picture-perfect royal couple can teach us a lot. Let's take a look at their lives and see what makes them so remarkable.

All the while, passion was lurking on the horizon. Dr. Nene was said to be a close friend of Madhuri's brother, Ajit Dixit, who lived in the United States. Her brother's invitation for a one-time meeting with his friend brought the two together. They began meeting more often in order to get to know each other better, and after three months of dating, they agreed to marry.

When Madhuri was asked why she married when she was at the height of her career in an interview, she replied, "Because I was in love."
Isn't that exactly what happens when you meet the right man?

Finding a fine balance
Marriage is all about seeking a happy medium where both spouses feel at ease and are willing to support each other. Only by growing together can a marriage be happy and prosperous. And there are numerous instances in Madhuri and Sriram's married life where the couple sought the middle ground for development.

Madhuri was already working on some projects when she married. She returned to Mumbai after a 10-day honeymoon in Hawaii to complete her pending work commitments, displaying a high level of professionalism. And, as a wonderful husband, Dr. Nene encouraged her to finish her work after they married.

The dhak dhak girl flew off with her Prince Charming after completing her assignments, taking a break from the entertainment industry.

Madhuri moved to Denver, where Dr. Nene was practising, since she was a woman who could have someone at her beck and call to run the household in India. But that's not it. The down-to-earth actress even went grocery shopping with other women without throwing any temper tantrums. In one of her interviews, she said, "I remember the first time I went grocery shopping in the United States, my heart was thumping.  But then I felt fantastic. Here, there's a sense of liberation."

Any marriage will face disagreements and differences of opinion at some point, but the secret to keeping your marriage happy and safe is to know when to give and when to take. When asked if they fought a lot, Dr. Nene said:
Knowing when to give and take is an important part of having a healthy partnership.

When Madhuri, her husband, and their children moved to Mumbai after spending 12 years in the United States, it was time for all of them to adapt. Since working in the film industry would take up so much of her time, the stunning beauty chose to work in television so she could spend more time with her young children. Despite being offered positions at prestigious medical schools, Dr. Nene chose to work in a public hospital to help those who could not afford costly medical care.
Their happiness recipe
It doesn't matter where you go on a romantic date if you truly enjoy each other's business. Any time spent together, no matter where in the world, are blissful happy moments. And Dr. Nene agreed wholeheartedly when he said:

It's all about the person you're with and how you handle each other on a romantic date. We could be anywhere and enjoy each other's company, I believe.
Dr. Nene revealed the secret to their happy and fruitful marriage in one of the interviews, saying:

We've found the sweet spot. She's always been a grounded person. I am a dreamer and a risk-taker. I've learned patience from her, and she's learned organisation from me.
