As per our sources, Bollywood celebs have decided to boycott two news channels thanks to their incessant mudslinging. The celebs feel wronged by these two news channels who made accusations & spun stories without offering any proof. The celebs have decided not to give any interviews or bytes to these news channels.
One of the news channels is part of a huge news media & entertainment conglomerate. While it was unthinkable for celebs in the earlier eras to as much as saying a word against anybody from this media conglomerate, the celebs feel they don’t need the media conglomerate anymore. They feel social media platforms alone are enough to do the job.
Besides the celebs believe that nobody can resist watching a well-made movie.
While they are making these big statements while amid the lockdown, it remains to be seen whether they will have the same level of confidence after the theatres open & when some of their movies start flopping. When push comes to shove these celebs will have no option but to go crawling back to the mainstream media to promote their movies.
