Jitendra Kumar Returns as Abhishek Tripathi
Jitendra Kumar returns in Panchayat Season 3, playing the role of Abhishek Tripathi once more. The original work, which had stunned viewers with its raw truths about rural India, has become a testament to the life of an ordinary man and the Panchayat secretary in this small town of Uttar Pradesh, Phulera. It is seen that as the politics in the town becomes more complex, the life is no longer easy for Abhishek. He fails to juggle work and life. His love affair with Rinki is going great guns too. He spends much time solving the problems the village is facing.
Kumar has done immensely well in his character roles in Jaadugar, Chaman Bahaar, and Lantrani as well.
Neena Gupta as Manju Devi Dubey
Veteran actress Neena Gupta returns in the role of Manju Devi, the Pradhan (village head) of Phulera, now far more at ease with being at the helm. In Season 3, Manju Devi navigates political din, standing firm as a small-town leader even as she faces threats that could potentially jeopardize her existence. And once again, she consults Abhishek on all matters concerning her village, her erudition tempered by fortitude.
It's Gupta, who is an acclaimed artist herself with over 120 credits, with works in Badhaai Ho, Kaagaz 2, and Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley among many others.
Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey
Raghubir Yadav reprises his role as the Prahdan-Pati Brij Bhushan Dubey, Manju Devi's husband. He is as much a politician as ever in the village, specially when a new secretary arrives and creates quite an uncomfortable commotion in the ranks. Brij Bhushan ropes in Vikas to keep an eye on the new man, suspects him of not carrying a single stitch of loyalty or honesty in his bag.
Yadav is a filmdom legend with credits to his name in Yaatris, The Railway Men, and Titu Ambani.
Faisal Malik as Prahladchand "Prahlad" Pandey
Faisal Malik is back as assistant Pradhan Prahladchand Pandey, who hasn't even accepted his son Rahul's death. In Season 3, the character of Prahladchand is subdued but ultimately clashes with the new secretary in the form of Vikas. His sorrow has fired a state of anger and it heats up confluence in the village.
Malik has also featured in Namacool, Mast Mein Rehne Ka, and Hostel Daze.
Chandan Roy as Vikas
Chandan Roy is seen as Vikas, who is true to Abhishek. Vikas gets his merry with the new secretary right from season 3. Vikas' instinctive hostility and defensiveness are a manifestation of the restlessness in the political situation of Phulera.
He has been seen in Sanak, Stage of Siege: Temple Attack, and Shehar Lakhot.
Sanvikaa as Rinki
Sanvikaa plays Rinki, Abhishek's love interest and the daughter of Manju Devi. With time, their relationship takes a back seat as Abhishek gets completely engrossed in his work. Nonetheless, Rinki remains committed to the relationship, although she should be traversing most of it alone, given the distance.
Sanvikaa has features in Hajamat and Lakhan Leela Bhargava among her previous work.
Kusum Shastri as District Magistrate
Kusum Shastri is on board for Panchayat Season 3 as the District Magistrate. Episode 1 sees her reprimanding Manju Devi and Brij Bhushan regarding the irregularities with the new secretary's arrival, observing that interfering with the secretary transfer will cause unwarranted political turbulence.
Shastri has featured in Who Am I and Ghar Set Hai.
