Prabhudeva To Direct Remake Of Hungarian Movie Chameleon

SANJAY ROUTRAY and SARITA PATIL of MATCHBOX PICTURES who delivered a BLOCKBUSTER in their first production 'ANDHADHUN' has signed PRABHU DHEVA to direct their next production which will be Hindi Remake of HUNGARIAN Film CHAMELEON which was released in 2008.
The comedy thriller, written and directed by KRISZTINA GODA, revolves around a SKILLED CONMAN who carefully selects his victims —the lonely and disillusioned single women— whom he carefully weaves into a romantic illusion. However, his plans get in vain when he falls in love with a beautiful dancer, forcing him to choose between his love and the cash.
This film was also HUNGARY's entry in 81st ACADEMY AWARDS for Best Foreign Language film and PRABHU DHEVA will look to revive his directorial career after delivering back to back flops in SINGH IS BLING, DABANGG 3 and recently released RADHE. The film is currently in scripting stage and will go on floors next year.
Other than this, MATCHBOX PICTURES has also acquired rights to remake another HUNGARIAN Film titled 'COMING OUT' which was a blockbuster on Hungarian Box Office in 2013. It revolves around one of Hungary's famous RJ and also a PROLIFIC GAY RIGHTS ACTIVIST, who meets an accident and realises that he is sexually attracted to WOMEN as well as he falls in love with a PHYSICIAN looking after him which could jeopardize his marriage with his long time partner who is also a GAY RIGHT ACTIVIST. The Hindi Remake of this film is also under scripting stage as well after the producers successfully purchased the remake rights of these two successful HUNGARIAN Films.
The production house, along with SRIRAM RAGHAVAN, is also involved in developing a web series on Journalist JIGNA VORA's memoir 'BEHIND BARS IN BYCULLA' which tells the story of her days spent in BYCULLA JAIL amounting to 9 months after she was acquitted from the charge of being involved in conspiracy to murder Crime Journalist J.DEY.
