Fortunately or unfortunately, fans of the Stree 3 are in for more wait, waiting anxiously for the movie that can be another gem in the horror-comedy anthology. News about this series had been scarce until Rajkummar Rao, the lead in the series, recently discussed the series in an interview with News18, Only his updates brought the much-needed clarity but also managed to dampen the expectations of its soon premiering date.
Quality Over Haste: A Vision for Excellence
When asked about the third installment, Rajkummar said yes, they are working on Stree 3, but the team, rather than being in a mad rush, is taking its time. “We aim to make the next part brilliant,” he said, saying that there are no plans to milk the success of Stree (2018) and Stree 2 (2024). However, the creative team starring the director Amar Kaushik and the producer Dinesh Vijan is working on the process to take the franchise to another stage.
However, what this means is that fans will have to wait, and Rajkummar says that the wait is going to be good or, better still, great. “We don’t want to compromise on quality,” he said about the script and production promising to alter the quality of the entire series.
Vicky’s Legacy and Rajkummar’s Love for the Role
The actor who filmed the TV series became the epitome of the hero he played, who acted like a simple-headed tailor. Vicky said he was in love with the character. “It is special to work with her, she is almost like my sister and it is nice to see a nice girl doing well,” Raj told media on Vicky, holding, reflecting on the tons of joy the role gives him. However, he jokingly pointed out that, unlike his character on the show, he won’t be getting close to a ghost for a while now.
What’s Next for Rajkummar Rao?
With everyone waiting for Stree 3, Rajkummar is not sitting idle for fans of the horror-comedy as he has signed a handful of projects. He has more projects lined up for release this year, starting with Maalik, which is already in the making after his exemplary work in Stree 2, Srikanth, and Mr. & Mrs Mahi. The actor also suggested that he may try out more comedy, though he deems it to be as rigorous but thoroughly enjoyable.
Patience Will Pay Off
However, in this case, the extra time taken to fashion the sequel might be viewed as inconvenient or ill-timed by fans, but at least, the effort being applied by the team is comfort well conceived. If Rajkumar Rao is keen and the vision of the makers is so passionate, Stree 3 is going to be the biggest treat you will ever see or hear.
