Ranveer Singh & Alia To Star In Bhansali's Baiju Bawra

This magnum opus has been in works for couple of years and BHANSALI was working on locking the script along with post production of his next release 'GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI' starring ALIA BHATT. This film will mark RANVEER's Fourth collaboration with BHANSALI and ALIA's second film with the director. Also, this will be RANVEER and ALIA's third film together after GULLY BOY and soon to be released ROCKY AUR RANI KI PREM KAHANI.

The lead pair have already readings for the Musical while shooting for KARAN JOHAR's next and SLB hasnt yet locked actors for two more pivotal roles. However, names of DEEPIKA PADUKONE and AJAY DEVGN are doing the rounds, but nothing is confirmed on that part. BHANSALI is eyeing to start shooting for the film in MID-2022 after wrapping work on his NETFLIX DEBUT, titled 'HEERAMANDI', a musical drama on the infamous COURTESANS of HEERA MANDI starring SONAKSHI SINHA and MANISHA KOIRALA in the leading roles. He is supposed to direct the pilot and season finale of this web series which will run for TWO Seasons.

RANVEER was supposed to start working with SHANKAR post completing KARAN JOHAR's film, but the film is now pushed ahead and will happen immediately after RANVEER will wrap BAIJU BAWRA. ALIA, on the other hand, will also start shooting for JEE LE ZARA by the end of 2022.
