The actress also talked about how the media made her feel inferior in the industry. ” I used to cry myself to sleep because of the misrepresentation and character assassination by the media,” she said. “The journalists were too narrow-minded back then,” she added. She also revealed that the so-called journalists writing columns on feminism were the ones rubbishing, spreading rumors about the actress as these journalists used to worship actors, as they were promised the next covers from the actors. ” It was politics then, it is politics now,” the actress also added that “Women shocked me then, Women shocks me now.”
The actress also unveiled that the media didn’t let the women grow back in the 90’s. ” They expected us, actresses to greet and seal our lips,” she said. ” The media was following the track of monopoly,” she added. She also recollected that all of the false claims actually worked to ruin the image of the actresses as beck then they had no social media to back up their claims.

She also added that how being outspoken, unapologetic, being a rebel was used against her
by the media and colleagues to ruin her public image by calling her ‘Arrogant’.
“But I continued to carve my leash, followed my own rules and regulations without pandering to hero’s wishes,” she concluded.
