Salman Khan and Eid: A Love Story. Check Out The Actor’s Eid Releases Prior To Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Salman Khan is all ready to release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. It will be released on Eid 2023, approximately four years after his previous full-fledged theatrical Eid movie, Bharat.

Salman Khan

Eid is connected with the release of a Salman Khan flick. Throughout the previous decade and a half, a Salman Khan film has primarily released on the Eid weekend, and he’s back with yet another film premiering on Eid – Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Before delving into Salman Khan’s films that were launched on Eid, it’s important to understand when his first film was released on Eid. The actor’s first film to be released on Eid was Judwaa in 1997. The film, directed by David Dhawan and co-starring Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, opened to full houses and was a box office success.

Salman Khan’s Second and Third Eid Appearances Were Unmemorable

Salman Khan has a couple of poor Eid flicks, with Kyon Ki (2005) and Jaan-E-Mann (2006) failing to make an impression at the box office. Both were romantic comedies released at a time when the actor’s career was not at its peak. Jaan-E-Mann clashed with Don and collected exactly half of it.

Reestablished Wanted Salman Khan Is A Top Billing Star In India

Salman Khan became the most popular actor for Eid releases in the years that followed. With the release of Wanted in 2009, the actor’s fortunes shifted. The film portrayed Salman Khan how he deserved to be portrayed, and the result was a much-needed hit for the actor. Wanted was followed by a string of crowd-pleasers from the actor on Eid.

With Dabangg, Bodyguard, and Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan delivered a hat trick of Eid blockbusters.

Dabangg was launched on Eid in 2010 and shattered all previous records. It was the third Hindi film, behind Ghajini and 3 Idiots, to gross more than Rs 100 crores in India, and it ended up becoming the second most grossing Hindi film of all time. It was the year’s top grossing Hindi film and the second highest grossing picture overall.

Bodyguard was released on Eid 2011 and once again surpassed box office records. The Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan film was the biggest grossing Hindi film in both India and the world in 2011. It was also the year’s highest-grossing Indian film. It was the actor’s second consecutive Eid blockbuster, and it was followed by another, Ek Tha Tiger.
Ek Tha Tiger (2012), starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, became the second most grossing Hindi film of all time, trailing only 3 Idiots. It had the highest opening day in Hindi film history, grossing more than Rs 30 crores on its first day.

Following a brief absence in 2013, Salman Khan returned with a hat trick of box office hits.

 Salman

There was no Salman Khan film released on Eid in 2013. In truth, no Salman film was released that year. Chennai Express, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, shattered all records and became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Salman’s blockbuster Eid run continued with Kick (2014). It became the second highest grossing Hindi film, after only Dhoom 3. It was also the second biggest grossing Hindi film of the year, after only PK.
Salman Khan’s biggest hit this millennium was and continues to be Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film marked the actor’s first foray into the Rs 300 crore nett club. Despite heavy competition from its pan-India opponent Baahubali: The Beginning, it was the highest grossing Indian film of the year. After 8 years, it is still the actor’s favourite film.
Sultan (2016) was Salman Khan’s third Rs 300 crore nett blockbuster. After PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, it became the third Rs 300 crore nett Hindi film, and Salman Khan became the only actor with two Rs 300 crore nett India grossers at the time.

Salman Khan’s Eid film will be released after Sultan failed to achieve the desired results.

 Sultan

Ever since Sultan. Salman Khan has three full-fledged theatrical Eid releases under his belt. Tubelight (2017) turned out to be a mediocre film. The film did not live up to the actor’s expectations, although it did cross the Rs 100 crore India nett threshold, which is still an impressive achievement in 2023. Race 3 (2018) became one of Salman Khan’s most reviled flicks. It nonetheless made Rs 100 crores in its first three days, demonstrating that the actor has a massive fan base. It was typical theatrical fare. Bharat opened to a crowded house in 2019, but did not perform well. It almost made Rs 200 crores nett in India and was considered a semi-hit. Even in 2023, Rs 200 crores is not a bad box office figure. Yet when Salman Khan is in it, especially in a commercial role, you anticipate more. Radhe (2021) was launched in the middle of Covid-19, with a fragmented theatrical distribution. It was not well received, either critically or commercially.
