Shaitaan Ending Explained

The Art of Surprise: An Explanation of Shaitaan's Movie Ending

Shaitaan
Shaitaan, a 2024 Indian horror film, is a Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati movie Vash, focusing on the theme of black magic.

Ajay Devgn's character, Kabeer, leads a normal household of four individuals at the beginning of the movie, and they are all content with each other. Then, as is the case with everyone, they experience certain life events.
One of the most talented performers in India, R. Madhavan, portrays Vanraaj Kashyap.
Thus, Vanraaj Kashyap joins Kabeer's family and performs various mystical treatments on Jhanvi, Kabeer's daughter.

The narrative picks up steam from this point on, and there are pivotal moments thereafter. You are unable to get up from your seat due to such twists.
You blink throughout the entire film out of concern that you may miss something, and then Jhanvi's mind is totally taken over by Vanraaj, indicating that he is using Jhanvi to further his own agenda.

 Shaitaan

He asks her to slap him in one scenario, and Jhanvi begins slapping herself instead.
Jhanvi's health deteriorates significantly. Evidently, Kabeer intends to kill Vanraaj in addition to wanting to save his daughter, but just as Kabeer approaches Vanraaj to kill her, Vanraaj gives Jhanvi the command to keep her safe. Then, in order to save Vanraaj, she gets up in front of her family.

Jhanvi is unable to move an inch on her own initiative; even now, she is prepared to murder her family. The family becomes quite tense after this. Kabeer tries numerous times to kill that scum, but he is never successful.
Actually, the character played by R. Madhavan wants Kabeer to send his daughter with him, but he can take Kabeer's daughter with him without asking; he just needs Kabeer's consent.

 Shaitaan

Jhanvi's bewitchment may dissolve if Vanraj takes her without her consent because she will always miss her family. However, Kabeer refuses to consent to this and forbids Vanraj from taking his daughter.
Subsequently, the pivotal moment occurs when Jhanvi receives orders from Vanraaj to murder her younger brother. She pursues him and, at last, pushes him from the roof. Kabeer begs his wife to drive him to the hospital after realising that his son still has life in him.

Kabeer makes a sacrifice and allows his daughter go with Vanraaj when he believes there is nothing he can do and that this could lead to many more issues in his family.
Nonetheless, a scene when Jhanvi lives with her father is featured at the start of the film.

That is how Kabeer gets to Vinraaj from that live spot. Vanraaj puts a spell on thousands of girls, and all of them fall behind Kabeer.
You won't believe what Vanraaj did with all these girls—he performed such things.

 Shaitaan

After Kabeer uses a technique to hurt Vanraaj, the film ends, but not before a scene that shows how elderly Kabir and R. Madhavan's character have become is revealed. This is the primary conclusion of the film.
But in this case, everything is upside down since Kabeer has total power over Vanraaj after casting a spell on him. This has a straightforward explanation: Kabir's wife is taking her son to the hospital. Both of them perish in the accident where they meet.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj. Released in theaters on March 8, 2024, it is set to premiere on streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+ on July 8, 2024.
