The Railway Men Ending Explained

Rati contacted Rajeshwari (Juhi Chawla) when his train was first stopped from continuing to Bhopal. After they worked out their issues, Rati defied the minister's directives one final time. Driven by a strong desire to assist, he spearheads the rescue team to Bhopal, mobilizing railroad employees from several places to oppose the government and participate in the relief operations. When the minister demands that people who back Rati be punished, Rajeshwari doesn't just go along with the directives without question. She decides to step down and accept accountability for the misunderstanding, saving others from punishment for doing morally. Rajeshwari, expecting her husband to join her upon his return from Bhopal, heads back home, ready to face the consequences.

In a disappointing turn of events, the evidence against Union Carbide is rendered null and void in court by an amendment declaring that flaws were rectified. Union Carbide avoids the penalties it ought to have paid while the Bhopal victims suffer for years without receiving just recompense.

Imad came to the realization that he might not survive The Railway Men's conclusion.
