Vivek Oberoi was a known name to everyone and he also made sure to make headlines outside of the industry. The man made very controversial statements that often make news and annoy others. The actor has revisited a very strong 2009 statement in which he stated, "Our industry has more plastic than the company that makes Tupperware boxes." See what Vivek has to say about it now by reading on.

The actor recently admitted to being immature when he made the statement and that his ideas were foolish, which made him regret it, in an interview with India TV. "They know who they are, and you know it, too," said Vivek. It's been a while since I made this comment, but I've grown older and more mature since then." He emphasized further that it is up to each person to decide whether to be genuine or plastic.

Vivek Oberoi also said that some people made the decision to turn plastic because they were afraid of being evaluated for who they really were, while others didn't have the fortitude to be authentic. "And others turn plastic because they don't know how to live," he went on. They believe this to be the reality: making connections, winning people over, and deceiving them behind their backs. However, you live in a meditative state and enjoy life when you recognize that all of this is a waste of time and that being true is the greatest happiness.

2009 saw Vivek Oberoi make his "plastic" comment on Farah Khan's program Tere Mere Beech Mein. In the same interview, he also discussed how his infamous press conference, in which he stated everything and everything against a certain actor, had a negative impact on Oberoi's life and career. "I was really stressed back then," he revealed. I was young 24 years old and in love, which drives many people insane.
