Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who have been rumoured to be in a hush-hush relationship, might just be ready to be more open about their status. They sparked off dating rumours when they attended Diwali parties together. They may just be the hottest couple in B-town and we can’t keep calm. After months of keeping everyone guessing, their photos together during Diwali festivities proved that there is no smoke without fire. The couple had their lips sealed, but their picture trace down the timeline of their romance that blossomed under the radar. They are reportedly getting ready to take the next step in their relationship.

According to a report on Mumbai Mirror, they are expected to make many joint public appearances. Vicky has been all-time career-high with the success of his film ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’, that won him a National Award. Meanwhile, he is also working on an interesting line-up of films including ‘Sardar Udam Singh’, ‘Takht’ and ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ which has been released on 21st February 2020. Katrina on the other hand also had a great year with ‘Bharat’ and is now getting ready to release ‘Sooryavanshi’ opposite Akshay Kumar that will hit screens this year. The reports say that the good looking couple might start a film together.

Vicky Kaushal has finally broken his silence over the rumours of the affair with Katrina Kaif. He said there is no truth to all the unconfirmed stories that have been doing the rounds of the media over the past few months.

I don’t feel there is any scope of clarification. I have been very open about my personal life because I cannot lie.

Vicky said this in a recent interview.

Katrina has reacted in a similar way to this a few months back. She said, ‘these rumours are part and parcel of our life. Now I have the maturity to understand all that matters is the work that we do. That’s what will make us sustain, that’s what the audience loves us for or judge us on. All the rest just comes and goes and these are part of the job. We chose to come into the spotlight. There are a lot of people who hate to come into the spotlight. But that is the nature of an actor, we have to accept and make peace with the public speculation. Some days it will be truthful, some days not truthful.’ Rumours have lately been spreading about the duo because they have been spotted together on several occasions including a few public events and some big-ticket parties.

It seems like it was only a matter of time before Katrina and Vicky came together. They were both single and mingled around in the same friends’ circles. Kat had embraced singlehood for over two years since she highly publicised split from Ranbir Kapoor. It seemed like Katrina was deeply into Ranbir and that she saw future with him. It dated for a look time and the breakup was very difficult for Katrina. Presently, Ranbir is dating Alia Bhatt and rumours say they will soon get married. Vicky Kaushal was also nursing a broken heart after breaking up with girlfriend Harleen Sethi. Katrina was blamed back then for ruining the relationship. The couple makes it to the headlines for a few months and then disappear.

Vicky and Katrina’s rumours began doing the rounds early last summer when the actor admitted that he harboured a crush on Kat while she said she would look good in a film with the ‘Masaan’ actor. Neha Dhupia said it was all false which quickly shot down the rumours. Despite her assurance, the buzz around the two refused to die. The rumoured couple were put on the hot seat and asked the million-dollar question. Katrina simply brushed it aside saying that rumours are just a ‘part and parcel’ of her life while Vicky was surprised that the beauty knew about him. Interestingly, Kat once said in an interview with Filmfare,

Earlier I had said until I get married, I am single, I still stand by that.

As Katrina expressed her desire to start a film with the hunk, the film in question was said to be an intense love story backed by Ronnie Screwvala and inspired by true events. It is presumably on the lines of ‘Kedarnath’ starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput. However, there isn’t any update about the same. Kat and Vicky finally came face-to-face at an event where he managed to woo her with his wit and charisma. He jokingly popped the question by singing the song ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. At the time, Salman Khan‘s priceless reaction got everyone talking.

They had the paparazzi on couple’s watch as they were spotted meeting up at various parties around the town. From sticking close at parties to attending film screenings and even making joint appearances at events, photos of the two together quickly took over the internet. While the dating rumours showed no signs of slowing down, common friends of both the actors revealed to ETimes, ‘Kat and Vicky are very much single and are not dating. The couple flirt when they meet but there is nothing serious going on between the two.

But onlookers at the premier of Vicky’s latest release – Bhoot, are convinced that the two celebs are more than just friends. Sources inform that Katrina wanted to take it slow. But their chemistry at the premier made it evident that they are more than just firends. It is official now – we have a new hot couple in town!
