Priyanka Chopra Defends Her On-Screen Father Varun Dhawan in Thrilling ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ Teaser

The buzz for the Indian version of the international spy drama Citadel has grown further high with the latest teaser featuring Priyanka Chopra and Varun Dhawan. Titled Citadel: ‘Honey Bunny,’ the series, directed by Raj & DK, the first look behind the scenes revealed recently has created quite a buzz as it is soon to release on Amazon Prime Video in November this year.
There’s an interesting teaser featuring ex-Big B or Big B wannabe Priyanka Chopra defending her on-screen father, Rahi Gambhir, who is very convincingly played by Varun Dhawan Finally, at one point, she declares triumphantly, ‘He’s my father!’; creating suspense and interest in understanding the nature of their relationship. Fans were shocked to see Varun playing Priyanka’s father, but the news went viral on social media immediately.

Fans Are Hooked by the Twist
The revelation revealed in the teaser has been received with a lot of controversy. More than one has humorously asked, ‘Varun is the father of Priyanka in the series?’ Rests are just pin-drop silence impressed by the acts. Some of the comments include “Outstanding performance, Varun brother”, and there are many that were waiting for an action from Varun in the film. Yet another fan couldn’t hold their feelings, and mentioned, “Can’t wait till they release the whole series so I can just simp for Rahi all day.”

Varun Dhawan’s Dedication to the Role
Speaking to PTI, Varun said, “I’m excited for the show, really looking forward to it and, of course, Honey Bunny is quite a lot of work, beginning from getting it done to doing it.” It’s amazing. I like it because of the quality as well as the exterior view.” He has a lot of confidence in the project to take Indian cinema to a higher level of standard. “Business-wise, I know this is going to do well,” he said.
A Stellar Cast to Watch Out For
Apart from Suniel Shetty and Sachiin, the series also includes Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kay Kay Menon, Simran, and others. Citadel: Honey Bunny will be every bit an action-packed, teenage-drama-ridden rollercoaster ride, which also serves an Indian twist to Citadel, a favorite universally. People are waiting for its release on November 7, 2024.
Delivering this high-concept teaser has all the hallmarks of becoming one of the major Indian web series of the year, not to mention Varun Dhawan and Priyanka Chopra.
