‘They will shut your channel’: Salman Khan Breaks his Silence on Arnab Goswami and Republic TV in TRP Scam

Salman Khan who is still to utter a single word on the ongoing investigation in SSR’s case took a dig at Arnab Goswami after his channel’s name surfaced in the TRP scam.

Ever since the death of SSR, Bollywood actor Salman Khan remained silent. The actor become an epicentre of social media trolling and became a hot topic of many media organizations especially Republic TV after Sushant died. Manu accused him of doing politics in Bollywood and favouring star kids so that they easily get roles in movies.

Now, Salman has broken in silence and that too in his style. Salman who is still to utter a single word on the ongoing investigation in SSR’s case took a dig at Arnab Goswami after his channel’s name surfaced in the TRP scam.

Interacting with Bigg Boss contestants on Weekend ka Waar, Salman said, ‘Bigg Boss ke andar ya kisi bhi show ke andar, you have to play the right game. Yeh nahi ki TRP ke liye kuch bhi khelo. Bahut achche ja rahe ho tum log. From Day-1, I have never seen the response you are getting. To make it bigger and better, be honest and real. Not by ki yaar yeh bakwas kar raha hai, jhoot bol raha hai, chilla raha hai. Point yeh nahi hai. Woh aapke channel ko band kar denge.’ ‘Jo mujhe kehna tha, indirectly maine keh diya.’

Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh claimed to have busted the TRP racket in which Republic TV’s name came. Later, it was revealed that the FIR which was quoted never pointed out Republic but named India Today network’s involvement in manipulating viewership. However, it was Arnab who asked Salman where he was hidden in his show.
