Shoes play a very important role in making our outfit perfect. Don’t you believe this statement? Even if you are wearing a subtle outfit, and you put on good pair of shoes, it can change your entire look and also boost your confidence.  Shoes can definitely help you to make your outfit look more nice. Sharing a few ways which will help you to select shoes with your outfit 

The S.O.F.A Method!

S.O.F.A stands for Season, Occasion, Formality, and Activity. This technique is usually used to decide on clothes but the same can be used for shoes. I mean, why not? By using this method, you will be able to pick the right shoes for the right ocassion. You must keep two things in mind  dressing well  and being practical while dressing up. You must know at which time or event you must wear your flats, heels, wedges, etc. to be comfortable and stunning. 

Colour or No Colour!

Once you select the shoe type, next is to select the right colour. Colour plays a vital role in your look. The colour of your shoes can pull off your entire look. Usually, we have two options, either go for neutral or take up some solid colour that will complement the dress you are wearing. If you don’t have a shoe matching the colour of your outfit, you can always go for a neutral shade. There is a lot to do with colours. If there are patterns or some particular designs on your outfit, pick up a specific colour and wear shoes of that colour. This will enhance the colour and its effect on your look. 

Patterns and Prints on Shoes!

Why do we always match our shoes to our clothes and never the other way round? Well, even our footwear deserves that importance! If you have some shoes with detailed patterns, prints, and bling on them, try matching an outfit with your shoes and not the shoes with the outfit. This would work for me a lot of times. Being a shoe lover, I often end up buying cute and sexy print sandals which are not wearable with all types of dresses. For the prints of my shoes to get the spotlight, I prefer wearing plain dresses or outfits with them. 

Matching Shoes with the Theme!

It is not right to always wear clothes according to the theme. You may sometimes add pop-up shoes to the theme. For example, if you have a theme of white and navy blue, it would be perfect to add red shoes with them. Let the shoe get some attention too!

The Shoe to Wear When Nothing Matches!

When you have no shoes that match the colours of your outfit, go for nudes. A nude shoe must match your skin tone or else it will be of no use. It also elongates the look of your legs.
