What Is The Difference Between Spin Bikes & Other Exercise Bikes?
Spin bikes are most precisely designed for customized workouts with acceleration, endurance, coasting, etc. Riding a spin bike requires variation and resemblance in positions. Meanwhile, exercise bikes are recommended for workouts including seating sessions.
The main distinction between both types of bikes is as follows:
Differ in size
Spin bikes tend to be a bit larger and heavier due to the flywheel, While other exercise bikes tend to be a bit lighter, smaller, more compact, and perhaps even foldable.
Pedals
Unlike exercise bikes, spin bikes carry well-equipped pedals with clips that are attachable directly to your cycling shoes. Therefore, the intensity and speed of your pedaling are not limited.
Adjustment
Exercise bikes are easier to adjust when you are seated but in spin bikes, you must be comfortable while changing positions.
Flywheel
Flywheel and fixed gears are the major distinctions between spin bikes and other exercise bikes. In spin bikes, flywheels are very heavy making it difficult to get moving along with stopping once in a motion.
