The actor was last seen in 2018, in the film called Agnyaathavaasi which was a third-time collaboration of the highly successful combo of Pawan and Trivikram, who had delivered blockbusters such as Jalsa and Attarintiki Daredi in the past. But this movie turned out to be a disaster.
The actor-turned-politician recently lost the 2019 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. This was the first-ever election for the Jana Sena chief to contest two seats in the elections, Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram. He failed to win either seat. But the party could only win one seat, from the Razole Assembly constituency which was contested by Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao.
Bored by politics the actor may have temporarily shifted to work in films.
