But being named one of the greatest fighters of all time is an honour that will be remembered by legions of fighters, critics, and fans for the rest of their lives. There have been many great fighters throughout the history of the sport. However, here is a list of the top ten fighters of all time.

  1. Bruce Lee
    Bruce Lee (November 27, 1940 – July 20, 1973) was a martial artist, martial arts instructor, actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and philosopher from Hong Kong and the United States. He founded Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts philosophy that draws from various combat disciplines and is often credited with paving the way for modern mixed martial arts (MMA). Critics, the media, and other martial artists regard Lee as the most influential martial artist of all time, as well as a pop culture icon of the twentieth century who bridged the gap between East and West. He is credited with popularising Hong Kong action cinema and influencing how Asians were portrayed in American films.

    Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., was an American professional boxer, activist, entertainer, poet, and philanthropist who died on June 3, 2016. He is widely regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated sporting figures of the twentieth century, and is frequently ranked as the greatest heavyweight boxer and athlete of all time.

    Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is a former professional boxer from the United States who competed from 1985 to 2005. He was the undisputed world heavyweight champion and the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title at the age of 20 years, four months, and 22 days.

  4. Chuck Norris
    Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940) is a martial artist and actor from the United States. Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and judo are all black belts for him. Norris won numerous martial arts championships after serving in the United States Air Force and later founded his own discipline, Chun Kuk Do. Soon after, Norris began training celebrities in martial arts in Hollywood. Norris went on to play a minor role in the 1969 spy film The Wrecking Crew. Bruce Lee, a friend and fellow martial artist, asked him to play one of the main villains in Way of the Dragon (1972). While Norris continued to act, friend and student Steve McQueen advised him to take it more seriously. Norris played the lead in the action film.

    Fedor is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, if not the greatest. He was a small-framed heavyweight who resembled a factory worker rather than an elite heavyweight cage fighter. He is a highly skilled and accomplished Sambo fighter and judoka.

  6. Ip Man
    Ip man was, in fact, the greatest fighter of all time. Records, newspapers, and books from his time confirm that he did, in fact, defeat the world boxing champion at the time, that he did fight ten or more men for the pleasure of a general during the ear, and that he did train Bruce Lee, and that he was Lee's greatest trainer.

    Vidyut Dev Singh Jammwal (born December 10, 1980) is an Indian actor, martial artist, and film producer who works primarily in Hindi films. He also practises Kalaripayattu (a type of fighting style). He is best known for his roles in the Commando film series, for which he has received several awards, including a Filmfare Award.

    Anderson da Silva (born April 14, 1975) is a Brazilian MMA fighter currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is a former UFC Middleweight Champion who held the title for the longest time in UFC history (2,457 days). This lasted from 2006 to 2013, and included a UFC record 16 consecutive victories during that time. Silva has been dubbed the greatest mixed martial artist of all time by UFC president Dana White, UFC commentator Joe Rogan, and numerous MMA analysts.
