Kangana started off very young as a 19 year old in Gangster in 2006. She received the Filmfare award for Best Debut Female. She went on to star in a couple of intense films with deep characters. But she soon found herself lost in timid comedies with zero plot and nothing for her to do. Occasionally one would see her in films like Fashion or Tanu Weds Manu.It was 2014’s comedy drama, Queen, when the world sat back and watched her rise. Queen was completely shouldered by her and her brilliant acting chops. She bagged all the awards that year and basked in glory. She always manages to stay in the news. Be it her relationships or her equation with her contemporaries. In an interview she said that she was hit and kept in house arrest by a man, same age as her father, when she was 17. Later she admitted it was Aditya Pancholi. Definitely this was not taken well by the yesteryear actor. She even admitted to have dated Ajay Devgn during the filming of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai and also added that it was a mistake and she shouldn't have dated a married man.

Kangana's list of contretemps is incomplete without the “silly ex” of course. Things just got nastier when she called Hrithik Roshan her silly ex. This didn't go down well with Hrithik, who denied of being in a relationship with her and legal notices and email expositions followed. Bollywood got divided to take sides. Soon afterwards, her Raaz:The Mystery Continues co star, Adhyayan Suman accused her of being manipulative and abusive. Suman was in a relationship with her and his family too was aware of it. Shekhar Suman, his father, accused her of practising black magic and brainwashing his son. Adhyayan also accused of being physically and mentally tortured. This gave Hrithik an upper hand in the legal procedures. Though the case didn't arrive at a proper conclusion, this didn't stop the feisty actress from giving yet another explosive interview. She, in a television interview said that it was just because Hrithik and his father had all the money in the world that they thought he could do whatever they like. Hrithik however didn't want to get his hands dirty and pulled himself away from commenting further. Work front for Kangana meanwhile was dull. In 2017,she appeared in Koffee With Karan and nonchalantly declared Karan as the flagbearer of nepotism in Bollywood. Karan didn't take this lightly. He on the other hand, took it a level further, on the IIFA stage shouting Nepotism Rocks with Bollywood kids, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan. They received huge backlash from the media for their comments and had to apologise. Her equation with Deepika Padukone too is marred with controversy. Deepika who won the People's Choice Award for Best Actress for Happy New Year,on the same year as Kangana received awards for Queen,dedicated her win to Kangana. The gesture didn't go down well with Kangana and she responded by saying

I hope someday she would tell me in person what she feels about my work, I would appreciate that a lot more.

Her equation with Alia Bhatt too isn't all pretty. She accused her of not standing by her during the release of her film Manikarnika. She even called Alia's performance in Raazi mediocre. Alia refused to comment but Kangana's sister, Rangoli, spurred up a Twitter spat with Alia's mother, Soni Razdan. Recently, she also accused Ranbir Kapoor of being apolitical. Ranbir reacted by saying he doesn't need to prove anyone anything.

There were also news that she had got offers from Paris Hilton's line of makeup. No sooner than Kangana claimed that than the foreign designer's legal team came down harshly upon Kangana to negate all such claims. Surely, the fashion diva and national award winning actress is talented. And coming from a non filmy background it is tough to find ground in the big bad world of Bollywood. Wrong or right, it takes a lot of guts for a person coming from a simpleton town in Himachal, finding her own space in Bollywood and speaking out against the biggies. Kangana's Mental Hai Kya with Rajkumar Rao is all set to release on July 26. Purportedly, the movie clashes with Hrithik's Super 30. Stay tuned for more controversy is on its way!
