Native of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh considered his birthdate as October 2, 1991. During his second academic year, he left Harcourt Butler Technical Institute, where he attended mechanical engineering studies. He started teaching students in Class 11 until he launched his YouTube teaching channel named "Physics Wallah" in 2016. Through his exceptional teaching approach and commitment to inclusive learning, he built an expanding group of students who studied with him. 

Founding of Physics Wallah

Alakh Pandey joined forces with Prateek Maheshwari to create Physics Wallah as an educational platform during the year 2020. The platform provides affordable complete educational courses that prepare students for JEE along with NEET exams. Students from all parts of India choose Physics Wallah because of its approach and cost-effective solutions. 

Growth and Achievements

To reach unicorn status in June 2022, the company Physics Wallah received $100 million worth of funding, which raised its company value up to $1.1 billion. The platform was operated by 19,000 employees and brought in revenues of ₹350 crore in 2024. Alakh Pandey owns a net worth of approximately ₹4,500 crore which demonstrates the success of his company.
