Klikk has undoubtedly delivered some remarkable content in the past. Each story carries its own significance and gravity. Recently they have come up with another outstanding story, Gangulys wed Guhas, which is filled with laughter, love and warmth. Besides an excellent cast and crew, it is the first successful directorial venture of Samadarshi Dutta. He has presented the theory of marriage in an unique way. Along with some well known actors such as Amrita Chattopadhyay, Jayati Chakraborty, Shoumo Banerjee, Sudipta Bose and Kaushiki, you will get to see several new faces who have done a great job. Samadarshi, himself has acted in the series and has brought a genuine liveliness in the character of Pranoy.

The story begins with the wedding preparations of Pranoy Ganguly and Madhura Guha, who are about to get married in the huge ancestral Ganguly villa. Although the plot initiates with Pranoy and Madhura but gradually we get to see the story spins around several other couples. Gangulys are strictly North Calcuttains and are connected to the royal family of Cooch Behar. They pride themselves on their antique collection of furniture and don't like to indulge in modern ways of lifestyle. Guhas on the other hand are a pure artsy Bengali family, who like attending Tolly clubs, can dance, sing and lead a modern livelihood. Initially, the two families go through a lot of difficulties in accepting each other's company but end up being one.

Gangulys wed Guhas live up to all our biyerbari expectations quite beautifully. The entire process of Bengali wedding, that is, from Aiburo Bhat to Reception is greatly satisfying and fulfilling. You get to live a lot of emotions and sense the intensity of young romance. It is the perfect package of laughter, tension, young romance, accidental reunions and absurd secrets. The series has been strongly mounted by Samadarshi Dutta and this is his ode to legendary director Rituparno Ghosh. The story has a strong base and beautiful yet engaging twists. Besides a strong plot story, the series has commendable songs that one is bound to fall in love with. The immensely talented Sravan Bhattacharyya who has been the music director of the show has delivered remarkable songs. Singers Ujjaini Mukherjee, Amrita Singh, Soumya Murshidabadi and Sravan himself have given us soul touching melodies which are hard to forget.

This is a must watch bengali series that is streaming on OTT platform Klikk since 20th of September, 2021. Gangulys wed Guhas has been produced by Orange and Yellow Films and correctly qualifies under 'Big Fat Bengali Wedding'.
