Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ Set In The Era Of 60’s

Rohit Shetty is one of the most famous Indian producers who is known for his swash-buckling, action-packed movies, with equally courageous and strong characters. However, his recent film, ‘Cirkus’, which is already on the floors is his Comedy of Errors. Earlier, the reports claimed to be a remake of Angoor (1982), directed by Sanjeev Kumar, Moushumi Chatterjee and Devan Varma. However, Rohit Shetty has denied such claims and has affirmed that it is a complete original.

‘Cirkus’, will be featuring some of the most popular and talented actors such as Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, Varun Sharma and Murli Sharma as leads, along with Siddhartha Jadav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett and Ashwini Kalsekar.

The film is set to be a comedy of errors, where a single actor or multiple actors, play double role which leads to bafflement and a plethora of fun. It will be set in an ear which faces the dearth of mobile phones or any kind of advanced technology. A Bollywood Hungama report said, ‘After contemplating on the time frame, the finally zeroed in on 1967 as the era to be recreated in Cirkus.’

Currently, fans of Rohit Shetty are waiting for Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’, to hit the big screens. It had been put on hold due to the pandemic.
