If news reports are to be believed Salman Khan will be welcoming a child into his life & embrace fatherhood soon. We trace his bollywood history as he takes this giant step in his life!

No, this ain't no click bait. According to a special report in the Times Of India, Salman Khan is all set to welcome his own kid through the wonders of surrogacy. In recent times many a Bollywood celebrity has opted for surrogacy. Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao had their son Azad through surrogacy. AbRam was born to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan through surrogacy. Single parents like Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor too had their kids via surrogacy. Now, Salman, too has followed suit.

Even years of asking when will the most eligible bachelor of Bollywood be betrothed, there has not been a definitive answer to the question. Every time the media thought that may be now is the time that Bhai gets married, only disappointment has struck them. Some thought Aishwarya would be his bride. Then some thought maybe Katrina. Then, maybe this time, may be he will marry Lulia. But,no!

When he started dating Aishwarya in 1997,he was already an established name in the Bollywood circuit. The affair gained momentum on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnificent Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and it was fireworks. The real-life chemistry was evident on reel life as well. However at that time Salman was almost ready to tie the knot with girlfriend Somy Ali. But his affair with Aishwarya didn't let that happen. However what seemed like a fairy tale didn't last long. Rifts had started springing up between them in 2001. The love ran cold and the mutual trust and respect was lost.

While Salman wanted Aishwarya to agree to marriage, she, riding high on success,on the other hand was just not ready to settle down yet. The web is filled with rumours and stories- most half-told and half-baked. But the gist is that Salman was an insecure and arrogant angry young man and is reportedly abused Aishwarya verbally, physically and mentally. Unable to take it anymore Aishwarya called it off. The relation was toxic and the stories that wwe read or hear are anything but pleasant. It is not just by mere coincidence that Salman rammed is car onto the footpath in a suburban Bandra Street just a day after Aishwarya made the break up public. Well, that's a whole other controversy.

Even after the split, Salman is said to call and disturb Aishwarya. She was then dating Vivek Oberoi. Vivek, too, showed enough courage to speak out aloud about the matter. All that we know is that his career could not be revived after the incident. While Salman's career too stagnated during that phase, he recovered & how. He is the biggest star of bollywood as of today.

Then in walked Katrina Kaif. Salman's life was again full of love. Katrina, who was 18 years Salman’s junior and was 18 at the time, had already stolen his heart. Their relationship was an open secret for neither of them openly admitted of the affair. Katrina had debuted with Boom in 2003 and had a small role in Sarkaar in 2005. But it was with Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? with Salman, that she rose to prominence. She also did movies like Partner, Yuvvraj and Hello with Salman. The two dated for quite some time till the air was filled with rumours about Ranbir-Katrina's closeness in 2009. And then came the split. The world was shocked to hear that the Kapoor junior had cheated on his the then girlfriend Deepika Padukone with Katrina. Nevertheless, Salman suffered yet another break up. But post her split with Ranbir, Katrina have again become a close pal of Salman. They shared screen space yet again in films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda hai and now they will be seen in Bharat. After Katrina, it was Lulia Vantur for Salman. The Romanian playback singer was almost engaged to Salman. And it's been a few years since we are hearing that the marriage is on the cards. But, just not yet.

It is said there was a time when he dated multiple women simultaneously. Whether be it Preity Zinta or Lara Dutta or Shilpa Shetty or Dia Mirza. He has also dated actresses who are much younger than him, besides Katrina. Take for example, Asin and Kangana Ranaut, Elli Avram and Hazel Keech. It was also rumoured that he dated Jacqueline Fernandez, the stunner from Sri Lanka.

In Spite of this womanizer character, Bhai admitted that he has been saving himself for marriage on a Koffee with Karan episode as Karan nearly spilled his coffee hearing the statement! Salman is surely not a person devoid of controversies. In fact if anything has been constant in his life it is his being involved in one controversy or another. He had served a jail term for the blackbuck case and barely escaped another jail term for running over pedestrians. He has also been closely associated with the underworld.

Nevertheless, everyone admits that Bhai has a good heart. Whenever someone is in a problem he is just a phone call away. Salman is known to love kids and it is really a great news that he will finally be a father. He adores his nieces and nephews.We cannot wait to see his cuties already.
