Vitiligo, an autoimmune condition, was revealed to be Mamata Mohandas's diagnosis. She posted about her illness on her Instagram account. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a Malayalam actress, received an autoimmune illness diagnosis.

Jana Gana Mana Mamata has a significant role in the popular movie by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie, which also featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released last year in 2022. Hodgkin lymphoma was a recent opponent for Mamata Mohandas. Her health updates had always been shared in an honest manner.

Mamta updated the audience on the vitiligo she is now dealing with by beautifully describing her path through the struggle. She wrote the caption for the sweet story in a letter addressed to an unnamed recipient. She began the caption by addressing dear and adding a sun emoji while writing that she embraces the illness more than ever. Fighting the disease, Mamata also lost her colour.

Fans and colleagues began praising her as soon as she announced the news on social media. Some people praised her, while others referred to her as a fighter. She was praised for embracing what might happen. The actress has battled cancer, lymphoma, and is currently battling vitiligo.

An autoimmune condition called vitiligo causes patches of skin to lose their colour. It results in the death or malfunction of the skin cells that make melatonin. A person who has the illness experiences a condition that is neither communicable nor life-threatening. Hands, feet, arms, faces, and legs are among the body areas that are most severely impacted. Reports state that 1% of the population worldwide has vitiligo.

After Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mamata Mohandas is the second performer to talk openly about having autoimmune disease. She not only battled lymphoma, but she also overcame cancer.
