Laya is an actress and a Kuchipudi dancer. She was born in 1981 in Viajayawada and is currently 42 years old. She started her acting career in her childhood itself with the film Bhadram Koduko. We mostly see her in the Tamil and Telugu films. Her father’s name is Dr. G. Gopalakrishna and he is a doctor. Her mother’s name is Yashoda G and she is a teacher. The actress is the only child. 

Her career as the lead actress begin in 1999 with Swayamvaram. It is a rom-com film which is available in many languages like Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
