Sangeeta Sornalingam is the wife of Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Vijay is one of the leading and Highest paid actors in Tamil cinema at the moment. He is known for his dedication, style, skillset and dancing etc. Whereas his wife Sangeetha is the daughter of a Tamil businessman from Sri Lanka who settled in the UK. During the year 1996, after Sangeeth watched Vijay's film Poove Unakkaga. She was quite impressed and became a huge fan. Sangeeta Vijay Personal Details

Sangeeta Sornalingam is the real name of Sangeeta. But she is mostly called as Sangeeta Vijay in her family as well as by her close friends. Initially she was an Industrialist by Profession and belongs to Hindu Origin. Her hometown is Srilanka but born and brought up in Uk. She completed her degree and currently lives in Chennai. She has two children Jason Vijay and Divya Sasha.

Sangeeta Vijay Marriage & Love Story

Sangeetha was so deeply impressed by Vijay's performance in the film Poovae Unakkaga. So she personally visited one of Vijay's shooting areas to greet and talk to him. Luckily, Vijay greeted her warmly and they both talked for a while. Since then he has visited Chennai frequently to see Vijay in praise of his work. Her composed gesture made Vijay make her visit his home and asked her about the same.

Sangeetha was so happy and she eagerly accepted to visit his home the next time to spend some time with his parents. Her first encounter with his parents impressed them.

She stayed back in Chennai for some time and Vijay started liking her presence which he never expressed. Vijay again invited Sangeeta to his home and this time his parents have found the daughter-in-law and a perfect girl for their son.

Vijay's mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, asked Sangeeta directly if she would like to marry her son. She gladly said yes and accepted the marriage proposal. Vijay's parents later visited London to discuss Sangeeta-Vijay's wedding with her parents, who welcomed her and her marriage was fixed. The couple got hitched on 25 August 1999 according to both Hindu custom and Christian tradition.
