When KTR Faced A Huge Backlash Over His Andhra Tweet

KTR faced a Hufe Backlash

KTR

The former Telangana IT minister and BRS party working president KTR, had gotten into a difficult situation. Do you know how?

Well, the former minister did so through his latest tweet on X. Have you read that? He tried to target the ruling Congress party on the Premier Energies' decision to move its operations to Andhra Pradesh and this has angered the people of the state. The post definitely didnt work in his favour.

In his post On his X account,  KTR wrote that Telangana was once a magnet for investments and attracted reputed companies under the BRS government. Now under the Congress rule, investors are choosing Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, and even Andhra Pradesh over Telangana. According to him, the question is - why? Is it the 20-30% commission or the RR Tax? He asked for an answer on behalf of the people of Telangana. We saw him using the hashtag #CongressFailedTelangana.

Along with the above we see a news clipping of Andhra Pradesh bagging Premier Energies' four gigawatt photovoltaic cell manufacturing plant worth Rs 1,700 crore, which was originally supposed to be set up in the Seetharampur Industrial Park in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district.

The above post went viral within minutes and majorly attracted backlash from the people of Andhra Pradesh. Many of the readers found his phrases at fault and many said that he could have framed the whole incident in a better manner to avoid misunderstanding. People talked about his arrogance and how he has discriminated against Andhra Pradesh even after a decade of separation.

On KTR’s controversial post, a TDP supporter mocked him, saying that Andhra Pradesh is now ruled by Nara Chandrababu Naidu and not YS Jagan. KTR’s comments after Chandrababu’s arrest under Jagan’s rule had irked many Andhrites. And with the GHMC elections coming up, his comments are for sure going to affect the BRS party’s chances in the areas that are inhabited by a large number of Andhra settlers in Hyderabad.

Do you think KTR's post was out of concern for the state and its people? Or was it just about targetting the political party?
