Arjun turned out to be a turning point year. He became the first Indian to qualify for the Goldmoney Asian Rapid of the Champions Chess Tour by defeating Alireza Firouzja and Daniil Dubov. In October 2021, he won second prize in the Junior U21 Round Table Open Chess Championship in Bulgaria.

Arjun carried the momentum into 2022 with some very important wins. He won the Tata Steel Chess Challengers, which qualified him for the Tata Steel Masters 2023. He also won the MPL National Championship of India, becoming the national champion. In August 2022, he won a silver medal in the Chess Olympiad, which was a contribution to India's commendable performance.

Arjun reached the zenith in 2024 when he won the WR Chess Masters Cup. In the final round, he outplayed Maxime Vachier-Lagrave to collect ₹18 lakh in prize money. Through September 2024, he emerged as the highest-rated Indian player. By December 2024, he had climbed to the top of the FIDE rating scale of 2801, thereby emerging as the fifteenth-best player ever to be rated in history and the second Indian to surpass the 2800 mark after Viswanathan Anand.

Above that, Arjun is an aggressive tournament player and was noticed in various circles for his very dynamic game, which brought much interest abroad. He shows great commitment by training very strenuously; Mikhalevski Victor has already made him do nine hours daily. Such is the reason that he is no longer an average opponent at a global level.

Even with this meteoric rise, Arjun remains humble. All the credit for this he gives to his family and their constant support. His father is a neurosurgeon, and his mother's name is Jyothi. The story of Arjun has been inspirational to many people showing how passion, dedication, and support can lead one to astonishing achievements in the chess world.
