1. Real Madrid – 36 Titles

Having won their 36th title in the 2023–24 season, Real Madrid holds the record for winning La Liga more than any other club.  With Carlo Ancelotti at the helm, they won the championship in the 32nd game, four before the end, after Barcelona was beaten by Girona.  

2. FC Barcelona – 28 Titles

In the 2024–25 season, Hansi Flick led Barcelona to win their 28th La Liga title.  After a tough time in November, they recorded over 30 unbeaten matches, with the final 2–0 win over Espanyol helping them claim the championship.  

3. Atlético Madrid – 11 Titles

Atlético Madrid has taken home eleven La Liga trophies and their most current one was achieved in 2020–21.  For years, the club has been a major power in Spanish football, trying to match the achievements of Real Madrid and Barcelona.  

4. Athletic Club – 8 Titles

Athletic Club, located in Bilbao, has won the La Liga 8 times, the most recent being 1983–84.  Atlético has a history of using only Basque players, so it is still a special and acknowledged group in Spanish football.
