Was Sara and Kartik’s Affair Fake?

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aryan’s story begin on Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee with Karan’ where she came with father, Saif Ali Khan. She was asked about whom she would like to date from the industry she said that to be Kartik Aryan and asked Karan Johar to tell him about it. On this Kartik blushed and told the media, ‘I don’t know what to say but I think she is really pretty. Haan, Matlab coffee pina chahunga.’ Kartik also attended a special screening of Kedarnath ahead of its release. Ranveer Singh acted as a perfect wingman by introducing Sara and Kartik at an event. After this Kartik was seen hanging out with Ananya Pandey with whom he was shooting ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and Sara Ali Khan. There were rumours of a love triangle.  On this Ananya said, ‘there is no triangle! I think I as a person, I am so young, I am 20 and it’s normal to have a crush. I am very open about my feelings and I am very open about the people I have crushes on. But I am so young, I think my crushes change also all the time. So I think it’s just fun, everyone is having fun.’

As we all know Kareena Kapoor Khan is known to have all the industry gossip firsthand. She knows everything that’s happening in the industry. From who is doing which film to who is dating who, she has all the gup. She was asked if she knows about their affair. She was quizzed if she was told about it. She responded to this in her style and said, ‘I honestly wouldn’t know because none of them has told me that. That’s the truth.’ She laughed it off completely. Kartik was also one of the guests on the second season of Kareena Kapoor’s chat show ‘What Women Want’. Kareena revealed that Kartik dodged the dating question even during her episode. There was a question on the show to which he was like, ‘I am dating my work.’ So are these two dating? Kartik and Sara were seen kissing each in a video, which went viral on social media in no time. Speculations are also rife that the two co-stars are dating in real life. Although the two remain tight-lipped about the relationship, gossip mills have suggested that they are quite serious about each other. Both of them share a lot of pictures on Instagram with such captions which prove for their feelings. While shooting for ‘Love Aj Kal’ Sara posted a picture with Kartik and there we would see Ranveer Singh commenting about his role in making them meet and that she should never forget that. This was a way in which Ranveer teased her with Kartik. Maybe these pictures are just for the film ‘Love Aj Kal’ but they can also mean something.

On Valentine’s Day, Kartik Aryan admittedly single but believably not shared a hilarious post with the caption, ‘happy valentine’s day from me and my date. #sonu #gogo #rajjo play Karne ke baad who else would go on a date with me.’ While Kartik’s expression could have garnered many aww-worthy reactions on his instafam and also on twitter netizens began came up with a quick answer, ‘Sara Ali Khan’. ‘Sara will love to go on a date with you’, another comment was, ‘as you would have guessed, she is none other than the current crush of India – Sara Ali Khan.’ More comments like, ‘Sara Ali Khan only said she on national television that she would love to go on a date with you’ and ‘please ask Sara Ali Khan out.’ But what this post by Kartik shows? Aren’t these two dating? Is he single?

Maybe it’s just all about giving fodders to gossips, the films have been banking upon old school strategies to create a buzz, which not only takes away the credibility of the actors but also demeans the dignity of the women involved. While either of three has never admitted to any alleged relationships, the gossip mongers have been dwelling on the fake information propagated to advance the film promotions, when sensible journalists can see through the promotional stunts of the films. During the release of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ Kartik was linked with Ananya Pandey and after the release, he was completely linked with Sara and they were sharing their moments from the set of ‘love aj kal’. Amrita Singh, mother of Sara was really upset with these link ups and said these rumours from her professional life have started hampering her personal life and that she should just focus on her work and not give much attention to these rumours. Saif Ali Khan asked Sara to concentrate on her career and then there were rumours that they broke up. they faked as a couple as they looked totally comfortable around each other and it doesn’t look like they ever broke up.

Sara responded to all the rumours saying, ‘I am okay with it. People will get used to it. The facts that this is my first time have said it doesn’t mean that it will be the last. I will say what comes to my mind because that’s how I am. It’s important to not have that filter sometimes like I recently went to a place with oil in my hair. The pressure is as much as you take. If I knew how to be fake and if I knew how to have a different public persona, maybe I’d wing it but I don’t.’
