Factors Responsible For Adult Acne
Plucking hair : any source of plucking hair can cause tissue to swell, make acne causing bacteria and skin cells to go deeper inside the pores. Use non comedogenic products that doesn’t block your pores and that doesn’t becomes a barrier for your skin to breathe .
Stress : Bad stress like tension and going through a phase of worrying and anxious state of mind triggers acne by enlarging the pores that leads to enlarged acne, even good stress like being overly excited right before an event can cause worsen acne by leading to a release of inflammatory chemicals called neuropeptides and hormonal changes. Avoid stress by activities that are therapeutical according to your personal preference.
Dry Skin : its myth if you think only overly oil skin triggers breakouts. When Dry or dehydrated skin isn’t provided external moisture and healthy oils it starts producing excessive oils (sebum) on its own. You need good oils to fight with bad oils, it doesn’t matter how oily skin you already have the oil production of your oil glands doesn’t fulfil the need of external moisture. You need to provide that by continuously keeping your skin hydration externally as well as internally by drinking enough water.
Over Washing/Exfoliating Skin :Think before you wash your face more than twice a day. Don’t ever rub vigorously, people often blame their oily skin as a factor responsible for acne and find over washing can eliminate the root of their acne but the truth is you’ll be doing more harm than good. Anything that involves over rubbing causes micro tears on your skin promotes acne. Over washing face with your daily cleanser more than twice a day strips your natural oils and which can cause [it] to produce more oil to overcompensate.
Food that mess with your acne: consumption of lots of refined carbohydrates, dairy, sweet may increase blood sugar and insulin levels and contribute to the development of acne. To have a balanced diet try starting with taking small portion of each of these food and then shift to cutting down completely if nothing works on the severity of acne.
