The actor was having a splendid run at the box office delivering hits right from the start of his career under a big banner production. He was having the time of his life for high profile filmmakers were waiting outside his door to sign him in their next film. But the tables turned last year when he failed to deliver a box office hit. The film however was extremely hard hitting and found favour from the critics. His performance in the film,too, was highly praised and it was cited his best performance till date. The movie goers, who had till then seen him in light hearted comedy movies,however, may be couldn't grasp the gravity and seriousness of the film and don't set the box office register ringing.

Then came the biggest disappointment when the magnum opus multi starrer period drama stumbled at the box office and turned out to be the biggest dud of the year so far. The makers are shocked and so are the makers of the upcoming epic comedy remake who are now reconsidering their decision of casting the actor. While starring in masala entertainers would have been a safe bet, he went out of his comfort zone to portray his acting skills. That seems to have back fired. While his box office standing took a hit after his artsy film didn't do as well as expected, his recent flop has dented his spotless box office track record

The big budget drama released and failed to get the cash registers ringing. The announcement was made but with a whimper – on just social media. Negotiations that were on with top studios for a huge price of the remake comedy were now being renegotiated for a much lesser price. Apparently, till now a studio is not yet on board though talks are on with a major one and if that happens, the movie will be announced this month.

Last heard, the star, who took off on a holiday to get over his blues, and who has had a series of flops is now looking at his sugar daddy to resurrect his flagging career in his next musical extravaganza to bail him out. Buzz is that the comedy flick, which may be announced this month, is now on hold till they get a proper studio on board. The career of the two-film-old newbie actress too is on hold with the comedy flick as she was waiting for the announcement and film to roll and doesn’t have any other films on hand, at the moment. Naturally, she is disappointed too as this would have been her first comedy movie but there’s not much she can do till the makers announce their project.
