“I am a Huge Fan of your Work!” Mani Ratnam Declares in Facebook Live

Mani Ratnam is one of  the stalwarts of the South Indian film industry. He has a wide collection of blockbusters both critically acclaimed and box office hits in his oeuvre. Even though he makes movies in Tamil, he has a huge fan following all over India. He revealed his admiration of Malayalam director Lijo Jose Pellissery in a Facebook Live with his wife Suhasini Mani Ratnam.

Suhasini pointed out that his favourite director had joined the Facebook Live. It is when Mani Ratnam showered his praises on Lijo. “I am a huge fan of yours, you are one of the best directors in the present era. Congrats. Keep it up” said Mani Ratnam. 

Suhasini was very active on social media during the Covid 19 lockdown. She was accompanied by various celebrities on Facebook Live. Madhavan joined Facebook Live along with Suhasini and Mani Ratnam to mark the 20th anniversary of their film Alaipayuthey which was released on 14th April 2000. It was on this occasion when Mani Ratnam revealed his admiration of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s works.  

Lijo Jose Pellisery is one of the best directors in contemporary cinema. He has won various awards in Film Festivals and his movies were screened in various international festivals.
