Guess Who – Story Behind Filmmaker’s Casting For Villain’s Role

Rajeev Masand has published a blind item in Open The Magazine the story behind the casting of an actor for the villain’s role in an upcoming project.

This powerful filmmaker is as snobbish as one can be. He looks down upon indie filmmakers & is known to pass bitchy remarks about flop celebs. On the other hand is a sweetheart to star kids & successful celebs. He has conveniently forgotten that his father was a flop producer. But one can’t deny his filmmaking prowess. He seems to know the pulse of the audiences. It is just a matter of time before he bounces back from the few flops his production house has churned this year.

A source from a top entertainment magazine told our friend that this director & his BF – an actor whom he launched, are no longer together. He still continues to plant stories about the actor’s affairs. But he does that as a mentor & not as a BF. To be fair, the filmmaker plants stories about his female proteges as well.

A prominent filmmaker, in pre-production on a big fat multi-starrer project, has cast in the role of the villain a young actor who delivered one of last year’s best performances by a male actor, in what was, as it turns out, a small, sadly less-watched indie. The funny thing is the filmmaker hasn’t watched the actor’s breakout performance (the filmmaker’s allergy to small-budget indie films is no secret) but is betting on the charisma and talent he displayed during the audition.
