Guess Who: This Actor Hijacked A Few Ideas Narrated To Him

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about an actor whose star is on the rise, who hijacked several ideas which were narrated to him.

We feel this blind item is more of a hit job. This actor has starred in several hits & was bound to get dragged into some controversy. Actors often get narrated great ideas for a movie. It is possible that some scenes are “inspired” from the ideas narrated to them. In this event it is imperative that the actor, the filmmakers give due credit to the ones who came up with the idea. There are many strugglers who are hoping to make it big, but never get a chance. The outsiders who do make it big are outliers ie exceptions & not the norm.

But singling out this actor seems unfair. If our sources are to be believed, plagiarism or hijacking a concept is very normal in bollywood. If this actor is guilty, then so are a lot of others. But this columnist chose to name only him. Take the case of this star kid who is now reduced to playing second fiddle to superstars – he narrated a great script to a heroine. Before he knew it he was replaced as the hero by the heroine’s BF. The movie went on to become a huge hit. This is the nature of bollywood. Sadly there is no body or any process to ensure that such incidents don’t happen. We hope this actor from a middle class background who has made it big helps strugglers to get a chance to showcase their talent & not hijack their ideas. He should never forget that all it will take is a few flops before the scripts he green lights might get hijacked by a bigger star.

But the blind item also speaks about a controversy, which arose after two movies which dealt with the same issue were releasing simultaneously. The controversy fizzled out that both the movies had totally different scripts.

THIS actor has fast become the toast of Tinsel-town, not only for his choice of subjects but also for turning them into success stories. However, an industry insider points that he’s no hero and has hijacked a few ideas narrated to him by struggling writers and directors. Incidentally, a couple of projects stirred up controversy over alleged copyright infringement, but nothing came out of them. Does he know trust takes years to build but seconds to break?
