There a tons of places which always have deals going on to offer you the best waxing. But nothing can beat the price of wax done at home if you know how to do it correctly. The best part about waxing at home is once you learn how to do it correctly you will never go back to rely on professionals. Here are few tips you need to know about how to wax like a pro!
Essentials You Need
• Wax Warmer
Warming wax on pan or boiler seems like a right idea. But you know you can’t warm up the wax at right temperature on pan, either it will end up getting too hot or will be thick. Secondly once you take it out it gets back to its thicker and colder form because of air, so you need to warm it up continuously. So instead of running many times for warming on pan you can just use a separate wax warmer. They are designed in a certain way to warm up wax at moderate temperature that won’t burn your skin. The wax being stored in warmer won’t get too thick or cold and will leave a perfect consistency for waxing.
• Wax For Your Skin Type
It all depends on what your skin is demanding for and lacking in. Chocolate wax is a good option if you have dry skin as it has some good oils and glycerine in it to keep your skin hydrated without stripping off the natural oil balance of your skin. Same as that aloevera wax is good for oily skin, and normal honey wax is perfectly suitable for normal skin type.
• Pre Wax Skin Care
Preparing your skin before waxing is important. Make sure you cleanse and exfoliate your skin well and take a shower it with warm water that will allow to open pores, steam will allow skin to become supple and soft and plucking hair from waxing will be easier. If you have very sensitive skin or very thick growth at areas like under arms, or if you are looking forward to fir bikini wax we recommend you get a numbing cream that will make waxing alot easier and don’t cause you bad pain. Apply some talc right before wax to disk the excess oil on skin.
• How To Wax
Make sure you use a blunt waxing knife or a special waxing tool for wax. Don’t use a regular home knife as it can cut your skin. Apply wax on the direction of hair growth and stick the wax strips evenly. Hold the skin underneath to lessen the stretch of skin and pull the wax strip in the opposite direction of hair growth. Repeat it on the areas you need to wax.
• Post Skin Care
Wash your skin with cold water and apply some pore toner and wax soothing gel or spray to calm inflammation and redness. You can also use some hair retardant cream that slows down the hair growth. Don’t apply any think moisturiser or oil as it can clog your freshly opened pores, apply some light moisturiser. Aloe Vera gel is recommended after waxing as it will soothe the irritated skin and seal the pores. Try a coding wearing tight clothes and let your skin breathe properly for 2 days. Avoid working out for 7 hours after waxing as sweating will cause irritation on your skin.
