Ashutosh Ranka has come to the fore as a public face of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which he has been associated with via youth-led protests and campaigns on issues related to India’s education system. A former management consultant with an academic base in engineering and public administration, Ranka has over time transitioned from corporate and policy work into public activism.
Ashutosh Ranka Age and Early Life
Ashutosh Ranka was brought up in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Also, we do not have access to his exact date of birth, which means that if we are to determine his age in 2026, that will not be possible. What we do know is that he was born in the month of October, but that doesn’t determine the birth year.
Ranka finished his schooling at Maheshwari Public School in Jaipur. He went on to enroll at the elite Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, which he attended as a Materials Science and Engineering student. Also of note is that at IIT Kanpur he put forward the application for and won the post of president of the Students’ Gymkhana, which is a very early sign of his leadership skills.
Education and Professional Career
After graduating from engineering school, Ranka joined the professional world to work at McKinsey Company as a management consultant. A few years in, he enrolled in a Master’s in Public Administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), at which time he also worked as a consultant for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in Geneva.
His background in consulting, governance and public policy has played a role in his position as a policy-focused voice within the CJP movement.
Ashutosh Ranka’s Role in CJP
In June 2026, the Cockroach Janta Party introduced Ashutosh Ranka to the public as one of its spokespersons; also at the same time, they put forward journalist Saurav Das and filmmaker and political researcher Vijeta Dahiya.
Since that time, Ranka has been a main figure in media reports which cover issues of examinations and those that relate to students; also, he has put forward the union’s position at our large-scale protests in Delhi.
Wife and Family
Ashutosh Ranka reports to be married. But at this time we don’t have a great deal of public info on his wife, parents, children, or in-laws. Thus it is at present best to not put forth that which we know of his family as fact without first seeing more public documentation.
