Varun Dhwan is one of the higest paid actor in Bollywood industry.He has worked in many films such as 'Student Of The Year','October','Main Tera Hero (2014)', 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' (2014), and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania '(2017); the action comedies' Dilwale '(2015),' Dishoom' (2016),  'Judwaa 2' (2017);  ABCD 2 (2015);  Sui Dhaaga and many more.His father's name is David Dhawan, who is a director.

Dhawan started his acting career with debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's teen film Student of the Year opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.He was cast as Rohan Nanda, the teenage son of a wealthy businessman who competes with his girlfriend (Bhatt) and best friend (Malhotra) to win the annual school championship. Film critic Taran Adarsh ​ of Bollywood Hungama called Dhawan "a talent you can't help but admire" and Rajeev Masand of CNN-IBN added, "Varun Dhawan excels with a confident and charming turn that can handle both comic and vulnerable scenes with ease ."  Student of the Year was a commercial success, grossing ₹1.09 billion ($13 million) worldwide.

On 24 January 2021, Dhawan married his  childhood girlfriend, fashion designer Natasha Dalal. The couple give birth their daughter on June 3,2024.
