Pankaj Tripathi to Play Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Role in Biopic

 

 

Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be portrayed by actor Pankaj Tripathi in the biopic Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye- ATAL on the former Indian Prime Minister.

"I feel privileged to play such a sympathetic diplomat on screen. He was so considerably more than just a politician. He was a renowned poet as well as a superb writer. For an actor like me, getting to walk in his footsteps is nothing short of a privilege, said Tripathi, who recently won praise for his performance in the Disney+ Hotstar series Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach.

Utkarsh Naithani is the screenwriter for the movie, which is being directed by three-time National Award winner Ravi Jadhav. With such a fascinating story at hand, director Ravi Jadhav, who has already won national awards for his films Mitraa, Balgandharva, and Natrang, wanted to live up to the audience's expectations. The movie, which is being made by Sandeep Singh, Vinod, Kamlesh, and Sam Bhanushali in collaboration with 70MM Talkies and is being co-produced by Zeeshan Ahmad and Shiv Sharma, will be presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was governed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 1998 to 2004, who was the first member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hold the office of Prime Minister of the country. He held the position three times: once for a brief period in 1996 and twice between 1998 and 2004. Vajpayee, a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and one of the nation's most well-known leaders, passed away on August 16, 2018, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), following a protracted illness. He was 93.

In 2015, the late leader received the Bharat Ratna award. Additionally, in 1994, he received the Pt Govind Ballabh Pant Award for Best Parliamentarian. Pankaj will next be featured in the 2012 sequel to "OMG-Oh My God!", and "OMG-Oh My God 2," which also stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Arun Govil.
