When Amitabh Bachchan's Jhund Got Into Legal Trouble!

Nagraj Manjule, a Marathi filmmaker is most well-known for his movie Sairat, starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The film was widely loved by the audience and thus, everyone was very excited when Nagraj Manjule announced his next Bollywood film, Jhund. The most exciting part about the movie Jhund was Amitabh Bachchan playing one of the leads in the film! The cast for the film also included Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar, who haven't been seen together on-screen since their performance in Sairat.

The movie Jhund is based on the life of Akhilesh Paul, a footballer. Amitabh Bachchan supposedly plays the role of a football coach, Vijay Barse. While the audience is extremely excited to see the great filmmaker Nagraj Manjule direct a Bollywood movie with none other than Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan himself, Jhund has been making headlines for a few wrong reasons. Most recently, the movie got a stay order for copyright infringement from the Telangana High Court.

Currently, the movie is on a total stay order from release in India as well as other countries, including any kind of digital platform. The petitioner, in this case, has claimed that they have exclusive rights to the story of Akhilesh Paul.
