Director R.S Vimal announced Mahavir Karna in 2017. Amidst the rumours that project has been shelved, the director reveals making video of the movie on Chiyaan Vikram’s birthday. The shooting was in progress at Ramoji Rao Film City. Even though the 300 Crore Big Budget project was announced with Pritviraj helming the titular role, Chiyaan was later announced as his replacement. It will be a multilingual film, releasing simultaneously in Hindi, tamil and Malayalam. 

Director R.S Vimal wished the Superstar by sharing the making video. The Big Budget movie is produced by United Film Kingdom based in New York. There were reports suggesting that the movie would be released in 32 languages. The movie boasts a huge cast and crew with stars from Bollywood and technicians from Hollywood. 

Chiyaan Vikram is starring in a Malayalam movie after a long hiatus. Before etching his permanent place in Kollywood, Chiyaan has appeared in various Malayalam and Telugu movies. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is another of Chiyaan’s upcoming movies.
