Guess Who: Actor Is Reshooting Parts Of His Movie

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about an actor who is reshooting parts of his movie to please his muslim audiences.

While politicians & movie stars are very fluid with their ideologies, it is the fans who fights with friends, relatives over politics. Take the case of this actor, who praises the PM at every chance he gets & also wants his movies to be seen by his Pakistani fans. What few people remember is that this actor made several statements during the previous regime, where he spoke in support of his movies releasing in Pakistan. He went on to say he won’t shoot scenes which hurt Pakistani sentiments as his Pakistani fans feel bad. This is in sharp contrast to his current stance, where he portrays himself to be a nationalist, Pakistan, left wing hating patriot. While he portrays to be hurt over our soldiers being martyred by Pakistani army & terrorists at the border, such things didn’t matter a few years back when the country was rooting for peace with Pakistan. He was shrewd to start supporting the current PM, when the PM’s popularity was growing rapidly in the year 2013. Now that many are protesting against policies which allegedly are biased against muslims, he is back to painting himself as secular. Truth is neither is he secular nor is he right wing, he just is which ever ideology is the flavor of the nation at that moment.

A WELL-KNOWN actor is reshooting parts of his upcoming film to suit a Muslim audience. While several actors do this, especially if the film releases on or around Eid, this actor’s grand gesture is unusual as he is usually rather majoritarian in his views. We hear a scene is being shot with Dubai’s most beautiful building, the Burj Khalifa, in the backdrop. A qawwali is also being added to the film. Oh well, it’s about time some filmmakers realise India is a secular country, even if for commercial gain.
